Methodological orientations


Like most design disciplines, the approach taken here to spatial practices and narrative environments is materialist. In saying, this, however, much still remains to be clarified.

One starting point would be to say that it adopts an Aristotelian materialism of the now and the here, the art of forms and form. It is not, therefore, a variety of Platonism or Neoplatonism, in which the material realm simply points to the Idea (Form) and the realm of the Ideal.

While it might be argued that the material opens to the conceptual, the conceptual is understood as a form of practice
